We are often asked what does a wedding planner actually do?!
For us, there are almost too many things to mention and when we begin listing the key areas where a wedding planner can help and support, the question is quickly answered. We have therefore complied our top 5 reasons as to why you need a wedding planner and how they can help create your dream day.
1. Alleviate stress
In this current day and age the majority of people lead extremely busy lives, whether it be work or parenting duties, it can be huge task to dedicate the time and attention to plan your wedding, regardless of how exciting it can be. Typically, a wedding takes 250 hours of planning, that’s an additional 6 weeks of a full time job!
Having a wedding planner to take on the time-consuming tasks such as sourcing suppliers and communication with wedding venues, leaves you with the fun elements of the wedding planning such as dress shopping! We can help with styling, logistics and much more.
2. Access to top suppliers
By having a wedding planner, you are then able to have full access to all the best suppliers and you don’t have to run the risk of sourcing a supplier that talks the talk but can’t deliver what you want. You are also able to save a lot of time searching for suppliers as your wedding planner will have worked with these suppliers previously and know how they work and the quality they provide. We even have preferential rates with our suppliers, so you can ensure you are getting the best possible value by utilising our network.
3. Design and styling
Maybe you’ve been adding to your wedding Pinterest board since well before you were engaged, and have a clear vision for your wedding. Perhaps you haven’t got a clue on what colours and style you’d like and feel overwhelmed by all the options? However you’re feeling, your wedding planner can help. If you’re not sure where to start, we will work with you as a couple to understand your style preferences, and what suits you as a couple and from there make suggestions for styling to suit your unique taste.
If you’re clear on your direction, we can still provide support to bring the whole look together. Using our extensive experience we can make suggestions to further WOW your guests, and also provide recommendations of the very best suppliers to use.
4. Budget support
Managing budgets and keeping track of payments is such a crucial element in the wedding planning process and something that we find can really daunt some couples. By having a wedding planner the creation of a wedding budget and payment schedule will be done for you, along with the management of invoices. This can take a huge weight off a couple’s shoulders and allow you to enjoy the planning process more.
5. On the day
One of the most important elements of our role is to be onsite for the dressing and set up of your venue, so we can ensure everything is absolutely perfect. We will be there on the day to manage all the suppliers and ensure every element of the day runs to plan, troubleshooting any issues on your behalf so that everything remains on track. Frequently couples feel very overwhelmed with how they are going to get their set up done, and then get changed and ready for the ceremony. This is where we are your safe pair of hands, and you can relax and enjoy those bubbles on the morning of your wedding, knowing everything will be exactly as you’ve asked.
We are aware that there is a common misconception that a wedding planner has to be involved from the beginning of the wedding, this is not the case at all. In fact, there are a variety of packages available that can suit every budget and can be tailored to be bespoke to each couple, depending on the level of support you require. We have a full breakdown of all the packages that we offer along with guideline prices which can be accessed by clicking here.
