We recently had the honour of being involved with a very special event in conjunction with the charity ‘A Gift of a Wedding.’ Gift of a Wedding work with couples when one or both of them have been diagnosed with a terminal illness.
A few weeks prior we had spotted the charity’s appeal for an Event Manager close to our Suffolk office. The charity works with each couple to understand their hopes and dreams for the big day, appealing for suppliers to offer their services to help make the vision a reality.
Once we had been appointed by the charity, we were connected with the bride-to-be Dali, her groom Duncan and their beautiful daughter Dusty. Our Event Manager Lydia visited the family at their home to discuss all the plans and ensure that all the finer details were in place.
The wedding styling featured woodland and boho elements, including a moon ring, lots of moss and woodland features.
The pictures from the venue looked stunning, as Dali put it: “it’s like my Pinterest board has come to life!” How fantastic to hear that from a bride! All the suppliers involved in delivering the wedding really did a brilliant job. There were a huge number of people who had donated a wide range of services, and everything came together perfectly, including the amazing Oyster Bar that went down an absolute storm with over 200 oysters being consumed!
You can see a short clip of the day by videographer Kerri Anthony Photography & Film here.
Following on from the wedding we received the kindest words from the couple which we know our Event Manager Lydia will hold on to throughout her career…
“Thank you so so much for everything you have done for us! The wedding was so perfectly dreamy! We couldn’t have wished for a better day, it went so smoothly, and we were very lucky to have you be a part of it. We have met some wonderfully lovely souls through Gift of a Wedding and you will all hold a special place in our hearts always. Thank you a million!”
It was an honour and privilege to be a part of this special day, and one that will be remembered forever. Thanks to Beauclerk Photography for the fantastic photos too.
